Rotary Club of Panaji Mid-Town bagged 10 prestigious awards at the recently held District Governor’s Awards held at Kolhapur during the District Conference of RI District 3170. These awards were received by the immediate past president Rtn Siddha Sardessai and Secretary Rtn Sachin Bhandare for the Rotary year 2022-23.
The immediate past District Governor, RI District 3170, Rtn Venkatesh (Baban) Deshpande awarded the following to the Rotary Club of Panaji Mid-Town:
- Best in Community Service
- Best in Youth Service
- Outstanding Community Service Project
- Preserve Planet Earth Recognition
- Best Club Bulletin – Monthly
- Best in Public Relations
- Best in Rural-Urban Relations
- Reaching the Unreached Award
- Highest TRF Contribution (APF) Large Club Top 7
- Best President – Large Club
Earlier, the club had received the Rotary Citation from the Rotary International and also bagged 15 DG appreciation awards. It may be noted that Rotary year 2022-23 was the Silver Jubilee year of the Rotary Club of Panaji Mid-Town and during the 25th year of service, the club had initiated many grand projects including the distribution of 500 pink cycles to girl students.
Rtn Siddha expressed, “I’m happy to have received the “Best President Award” at the Rotary District 3170 Awards ceremony held at Kolhapur. Our club received 10 awards in all for the work done during our Silver Jubilee year of service. I take this opportunity to thank the board members and all the club members who pitched in with their invaluable support during the whole rotary year. Many thanks to all our friends of Rotary who contributed financially for us to achieve what we had set to perform.
