PANAJI, NOVEMBER 25, 2023: The Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), Goa’s largest hospitality company ushers in the festive revelry with much pomp and gaiety at their annual Cake Mixing Ceremony. The centuries old tradition which heralds the beginning of the merry season witnessed an assembled multitude of enthusiasts gathered in union to participate in the ritual of Christmas Cake Mixing, reflecting the true spirit of the season.
Donned with Christmas hats, gloves and aprons, the crowd joined hands in mixing a colossal spread of assorted nuts, rich dry fruits and aromatic spices including cinnamon, cardamom and nutmeg with generous amounts of spirits. As several pairs of hands worked together, the air was punctured with a sweet-smelling fragrance and the festive ambience was accompanied with a melody of traditional carols.
In line with Paathya, the company’s ESG+ framework to drive its sustainability and social impact measures, the hotels incorporated an assortment of locally sourced ingredients and collaborated with non-profit organisations to share in the festive spirit.
