VAISHALI JOSHI (Founder and CEO The V Factor – Brand Advisory Services)

PARAG JOSHI (Managing Partner Laminex and Jutex, Former President Goa State Industries Association & CII, Goa )

Their love matured working in sync with each other’s pursuit of living a healthy, family and career-oriented life. Vaishali and Parag Joshi are true collaborators who take all challenges in their stride. Complementing each other in every aspect of life is the secret to their lasting relationship.

What was your first impression of each other?
Vaishali: I found him quiet, reserved and very mature. He appeared to be very stable, calm, and in control of his life.

Parag: Vaishali came across as a very confident, attractive and caring person, things I instantly admired in her.

What qualities do you admire in each other?
Vaishali: I find Parag very generous and always encouraging everyone around him. He is very humble, and very calm and composed. Rarely does he panic, even in tense situations. He’s always a great pillar of support.

Parag: Vaishali is a very organised person who gives tremendous attention to detail and strives to be a perfectionist, a quality I truly admire in her.

How has your partner contributed to your professional growth?

Vaishali: He is very proud of my work and me, and has always encouraged me to excel and is a very non-demanding husband. His line of work is very different from mine, yet he always tries to contribute in whichever way he can. He is very supportive.

Parag: Vaishali has always been very supportive and encouraging, be it good days or bad, or even when I used to be at the office for extended hours. She has also helped me get more organised and put systems in place, which have helped me professionally as well.

How have you influenced each other’s way of living and thinking?
Vaishali: He is from a joint family, and caring and sharing is second nature for him. I have been influenced deeply by this and have made it my mission to reach out to people, including friends and family, and lend a helping hand. I’ve also learnt not to be impulsive and react to situations instantly.

Parag: Vaishali is a woman of action, who loves her traveling, fitness, and music. Thanks to this, I have managed to start living a more health conscious lifestyle, and have been indulging in leisure, travel and music much more often than earlier.

How do you divide responsibilities with respect to families?
Vaishali: Parag is very involved with the family and has always lent a helping hand in the children’s upbringing. As they grew up, taking up their studies and disciplining them was entirely my job. I am the taskmaster, he is the diffuser.

Parag: I tend to be the problem- solver, and the bouncing board for the family while Vaishali focusses on taking charge of all the household responsibilities and tending to the children.
