Founder and editor of Viva Goa Kedar Dhume called on former president of India Ram Nath Kovind and presented him with a book on the India’s former Defence minister of India and four times chief minister, Late Manohar Parrikar.
The former president recollected his fond memories with Parrikar during his tenure as a union Minister and prominent national leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Kovind as a party member visited Goa a few times in the 80s to participate in BJP programmes organised under Parrikar’s leadership. His simple stature and administrative skills in managing the state with limited resources were so evident that Kovind still admires him as an iconic leader with distinct qualities.
