INGREDIENTS:
Gram flour (besan) 2 cups (260g)
Sugar ½ cup (150g)
Milk 2 tbsp (30ml)
Pure ghee (melted) ½ cup+2 tbsp
Chopped almonds 10 + 10
& cashew nuts
Nutmeg powder ½ tbsp
Water 1 cup
- Sieve gram flour and mix with warm milk and two tablespoons of ghee with your fingers into the texture of bread crumbs.
Set aside. - Heat gram flour, stirring continuously until ghee in a pan and sauté the golden brown and it gives out its aroma.
Set aside. - Heat a pan and add sugar and water to make a sugar syrup of more than one thread consistency. Add nutmeg powder, the cooked gram flour and keep stirring until it comes away from the sides of the pan.
- Grease flat plate with a tablespoon of ghee and pour the gram flour mixture onto it.
Flatten it evenly up to one-inch thick, garnish with almonds and cashew nuts and allow it to cool. - Cut into pieces and serve.
