Serendipity Arts Festival all set to make a comeback to Goa from December 15

India’s biggest multi-disciplinary festival, the Serendipity Arts Festival, is scheduled to be held between Deceber 15 and December 23
in Panaji. The much-anticipated fifth edition of the festival will continue to celebrate the undying spirit of the arts with a new perspective. Having been awarded the Best Cultural Festival title at the LCD Berlin Awards in April 2022, the Festival has high hopes of making Goa a leading cultural destination of the region.

While the idea of the festival remains the same, its outlook and approach has changed, offering a much more multi- and transdisciplinary, free flowing and collaborative show. The festival is set to expand the concept of community and look to creating a series of engaging, programmes for visitors. It aims at bringing together artists and curators, conversations and creative collaborations from across South Asia and beyond to celebrate life.

With two virtual festivals under its belt during the pandemic years, Serendipity Arts Festival not only brought hope to those isolated due to COVID-19, but also introduced artists and artforms to new audiences. It opened avenues to a whole range of programming ideas and possibilities, some of which will continue in December 2022.

Speaking of the upcoming edition, Director of Serendipity Arts Foundation & Festival, Smriti Rajgarhia, said, “We are delighted to let everyone know that we will be back in Goa to celebrate and host the much overdue 5th edition of the festival in Panjim with our growing universe of artists, collaborators and friends.”

The projects this year are scheduled to have greater degree of multi-media adaptability. The festival organisers also say that their public engagement systems and safety standards are going to set new benchmarks for events and festivals, in a postpandemic world. This edition is anticipated to run longer than its previous editions.
