E-bike tour company BLive has captured the hearts of locals and tourists in Goa with plans to expand into other sustainable activities across the country.
Even as Goa’s tourism industry continues to be plagued by pollution and garbage, sustainable initiatives are vying to change the status quo. Since its launch in 2018, e-bike tour company BLive has made waves with its experiential trips and smart yet sustainable initiatives.
BLive is the brainchild of two friends, Samarth Kholkar and Sandeep Mukherjee, who decided to come together to find an effective sustainable solution, and launched India’s first electric vehicle (EV) tourism initiative.
In November 2018, the company started with 30 e-bikes and a few heritage tours in Goa. Within four months, it hit the first milestone: 1,000 tours. Now, BLive has 260 e-bikes and has done more than 13,000 tours in 15 cities across nine Indian states.
