Inauguration of PRCI Goa Chapter

The Public Relations Council of India (PRCI) inaugurated its new chapter in Goa, marked by an installation ceremony held recently. The event witnessed the esteemed presence of industry stalwarts, dignitaries, and notable personalities.

Under the leadership of Deepak Narvekar, a seasoned professional with extensive experience in public relations, the newly formed Goa Chapter of PRCI is poised to serve as a dynamic platform for fostering professional growth, networking, and knowledge exchange within the public relations domain. The ceremony saw the installation of a dedicated executive committee comprising individuals recognized for their expertise, dedication, and vision in advancing the field of public relations in the region.

Chief Mentor & Chairman Emeritus of PRCI M B Jayaram expressed his optimism for the chapter’s future endeavors and mentioned about the proactive initiatives benefiting both the PR industry and the community at large.

National President of PRCI Geetha Shankar serves as the installing officer, underscoring PRCI’s role as the apex body for public relations practitioners, with a global footprint spanning various countries. Shankar emphasized the importance of fostering collaboration, innovation, and ethical practices within the PR community to drive positive societal change.

During the ceremony, Senior Journalist Waman Prabhu along with dignitaries, were felicitated with Goan traditional Kunbi Shawls and mementos in recognition of their significant contributions to the field of public relations and journalism.

While accepting the post of chairman, Deepak Narvekar said, “I am deeply honoured to lead the Goa Chapter of PRCI. Together, we will strive to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and contribute meaningfully to the PR landscape in our region.”

With a vibrant mix of professionals, academicians, and media personalities in attendance, the event underscored the significance of the PRCI Goa Chapter as a catalyst for professional excellence, industry growth, and societal impact in the region.

Milan Vaigankar and Dr Jones Samuel, both seasoned PR professionals, compered the function with finesse, ensuring a seamless flow of activities and interactions throughout.
